Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ dance learning outcomes through the application of the Time Token learning model in class VII A of MTsS TI Batang Kabung. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, where each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 25 students. Data were collected through observation sheets to measure students’ learning activities, tests to assess learning outcomes, and documentation to support the research findings. The data were analyzed using percentage techniques to determine the level of learning completeness and improvement. The results showed a significant improvement in both learning outcomes and student activities. In cycle I, the percentage of learning completeness reached only 60%, indicating that the expected criteria had not yet been achieved. However, after improvements in the implementation of the Time Token model in cycle II, the percentage increased to 92%, which met the learning completeness criteria. In addition, students’ learning activities such as attention, participation in discussions, confidence, and collaboration also improved significantly. These findings indicate that the Time Token learning model is effective in encouraging active participation, providing equal speaking opportunities, and improving students’ dance learning outcomes. Therefore, this model can be used as an alternative strategy in dance learning to enhance student engagement and achievement.
