SISTEM MANAJEMEN SANGGAR SENI PERMATA BUDAYA DI KOTA BATAM

Abstract

This study aims to explain and describe the Management System of Permata Budaya Art Studio in Batam City. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher themselves, aided by writing tools, a camera and a voice recorder. Data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps to analyse the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results show that the management system of Permata Budaya Art Studio consists of planning, organising, mobilising and supervision. Activity planning is done by creating short-term, medium-term and long-term programmes. Organisation is evident from a well-structured organisation, where tasks and responsibilities are clearly divided between the leader, secretary, treasurer and field coordinators. The motivational function in the Permata Budaya Art Studio is not only carried out by giving encouragement during practice but is also realised through managing performances, especially at weddings which are the studio's main activities. Mobilisation starts from the lobbying process to get a chance to perform, where the leader needs to communicate and maintain good relationships with the community, MCs, and wedding service providers. Meanwhile, supervision is carried out directly and continuously over all aspects of activities, from practice, show preparation, administration, to money management. Overall, applying this management system plays an important role in maintaining the existence of Sanggar Seni Permata Budaya and supporting efforts to preserve local dance art in Batam City.
